The Criminology Licensure Examination remains one of the country’s most significant professional licensure tests, serving as the gateway for graduates of Bachelor of Science in Criminology programs to become licensed criminologists. Passing the examination allows successful candidates to pursue careers in various law enforcement agencies, correctional institutions, forensic organizations, private security firms, and other criminal justice-related professions both in the public and private sectors.
This year’s board examination was conducted nationwide on August 1, 2, and 3, 2026, with thousands of examinees reporting to designated testing centers located in National Capital Region (NCR), Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Calapan, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Palawan, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, Zamboanga, Bacolod, Bayambang, Bohol, Catarman, Cauayan, Dumaguete, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, and Kidapawan. The extensive list of testing locations reflects the continued growth in the number of criminology graduates seeking professional licensure across the country.
The examination was administered under the supervision of the PRC Board of Criminology, headed by Chairman Hon. Ramil G. Gabao, together with board members Hon. Lani T. Palmones and Hon. Warren M. Corpuz. The board ensured that the licensure examination was conducted in accordance with existing laws, professional standards, and PRC regulations governing the practice of criminology in the Philippines.
Once released, the official results will include not only the names of successful examinees but also the roster of top-performing schools, allowing educational institutions to evaluate their graduates’ performance against national standards. The annual performance of schools has become one of the most closely watched aspects of the licensure examination, as colleges and universities strive to maintain high passing rates and produce competent future criminologists.
The PRC may also include announcements regarding examinees whose examination results require further evaluation. In previous releases, the commission noted that the results of three (3) examinees were withheld pending the final determination of their liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examinations, while the results of two (2) examinees were withheld pending submission of the required documents, and five (5) examinees had their results withheld for further verification of submitted documents. Such cases undergo separate evaluation procedures before final decisions are made by the commission.
After the official release of the examination results, successful examinees will be advised to complete the online registration process for the issuance of their Professional Identification Card (PIC) and Certificate of Registration. The PRC will also announce the schedule for the oath-taking ceremony, during which newly licensed criminologists will formally take their oath as members of the profession before beginning their careers in law enforcement and criminal justice.
Aspiring criminologists are encouraged to monitor the official announcements of the Professional Regulation Commission for the exact release date of the August 2026 Criminology Licensure Examination results. Examinees are advised to rely only on verified PRC announcements and official result pages to avoid misinformation and fake examination result links circulating online.
As September 2026 approaches, thousands of examinees, their families, educational institutions, and future employers remain hopeful for positive results. For many, the release of the S-U CLE Results August 2026 will mark the culmination of years of academic preparation, discipline, and determination, opening the door to meaningful careers dedicated to maintaining peace, public safety, and the administration of justice throughout the Philippines.
