Thousands of aspiring criminologists across the Philippines are eagerly awaiting the release of the August 2026 Criminology Licensure Examination (CLE) Results, as the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) is expected to officially announce the complete results in September 2026, approximately twenty-six (26) working days after the final day of the board examinations.

The August 2026 Criminology Licensure Examination was administered on August 1, 2, and 3, 2026, under the supervision of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Professional Regulatory Board of Criminology. The nationwide examination drew thousands of graduates seeking to earn their licenses and officially join the ranks of registered criminologists in the country.

Upon the official release, the PRC will publish the complete list of passers, the Top 10 highest-performing examinees, and the performance of schools, allowing examinees, educational institutions, and the public to assess the overall results of one of the country’s most anticipated professional licensure examinations.

Based on the PRC’s announced schedule, the results are expected to be released in September 2026, although the commission has consistently reminded examinees that release dates remain subject to change depending on the speed of the checking process and the completion of all post-examination procedures. Should unforeseen circumstances arise, the commission may adjust the release date accordingly.

The three-day licensure examination was simultaneously conducted in numerous testing centers nationwide to accommodate the large number of examinees. Examination venues included the National Capital Region (NCR), Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Calapan, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Palawan, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, Zamboanga, Bacolod, Bayambang, Bohol, Catarman, Cauayan, Dumaguete, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, and Kidapawan. The extensive coverage ensured accessibility for examinees from different provinces and regions throughout the Philippines.

The examination was administered by the Professional Regulatory Board of Criminology, headed by Chairman Hon. Ramil G. Gabao, together with board members Hon. Lani T. Palmones and Hon. Warren M. Corpuz. The board is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the licensure examination process, ensuring that only qualified individuals meet the standards required for entry into the criminology profession.

Once released, the official results will include not only the names of successful examinees but also additional information regarding the status of certain examinees whose cases require further review. According to PRC procedures, examination results may be withheld in specific instances pending compliance with regulatory requirements.

For the August 2026 examinations, the commission stated that the results of three (3) examinees were withheld pending the final determination of their liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examinations. In addition, the results of two (2) examinees were withheld pending the submission of required documents, while the results of five (5) examinees were withheld for further verification of the documents they submitted. These cases remain subject to the commission’s evaluation before any final action is taken.

The Criminology Licensure Examination remains one of the country’s most significant professional examinations, as it serves as the gateway for graduates who aspire to pursue careers in law enforcement, criminal investigation, forensic science, corrections administration, public safety, and various government agencies tasked with maintaining peace and order.

Passing the board examination enables successful candidates to register as licensed criminologists and opens opportunities for employment in organizations such as the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Bureau of Corrections (BuCor), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Philippine Coast Guard, private security institutions, and other public and private organizations requiring criminology professionals.

As anticipation continues to build, thousands of examinees and their families are closely monitoring announcements from the Professional Regulation Commission regarding the official release of the August 2026 CLE results. Many educational institutions are likewise awaiting the publication of school performance rankings, which provide an important measure of academic excellence and institutional achievement in criminology education.
