CLE RESULTS August 2026: Criminology Licensure Examination

August 2026 Criminology Licensure Exam Results Expected This September; Thousands Await PRC Release.

Thousands of aspiring criminologists across the Philippines are eagerly awaiting the release of the August 2026 Criminology Licensure Examination (CLE) results, which are expected to be announced by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) in September 2026. The highly anticipated release will include the complete list of successful examinees, the Top 10 highest-performing candidates, and the official performance of schools that participated in one of the country’s largest professional licensure examinations.

The August 2026 Criminology Licensure Examination was administered by the Professional Regulation Commission through the Board of Criminology on August 1, 2, and 3, 2026. The examination was simultaneously conducted in numerous testing centers nationwide to accommodate the thousands of graduates seeking to earn their professional licenses and officially join the country’s criminology profession.

According to the PRC, the official results are scheduled to be released approximately twenty-six (26) working days after the final day of the examination, placing the expected announcement in September 2026. Once released, the examination results will contain the complete roster of passers, the Top 10 examinees with the highest ratings, the performance of schools, and other relevant official notices from the commission.

The Board of Criminology also disclosed that the examination results of several examinees remain subject to further evaluation. Specifically, the results of three (3) examinees have been withheld pending the final determination of their liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examinations. Meanwhile, the results of two (2) examinees were temporarily withheld pending the submission of the required documents, while the results of five (5) other examinees remain under verification as authorities continue to validate the documents they submitted.

The nationwide licensure examination was conducted across twenty-seven testing centers strategically located throughout the country. These testing locations included the National Capital Region (NCR), Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Calapan, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Palawan, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, Zamboanga, Bacolod, Bayambang, Bohol, Catarman, Cauayan, Dumaguete, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, and Kidapawan. The widespread testing venues allowed graduates from different regions to take the examination closer to their respective provinces.

The Criminology Licensure Examination remains one of the country’s most significant professional board examinations, serving as the gateway for graduates aspiring to become licensed criminologists. Passing the examination is a mandatory requirement before graduates can legally practice the profession and pursue careers in law enforcement, criminal investigation, forensic science, corrections, public safety, private security, and other fields related to criminal justice.

The examination was administered under the supervision of the Professional Regulatory Board of Criminology, headed by Chairman Hon. Ramil G. Gabao, together with board members Hon. Lani T. Palmones and Hon. Warren M. Corpuz. The board is responsible for ensuring that the licensure examination is conducted fairly, transparently, and in accordance with the standards established under Philippine laws governing the criminology profession.

As the expected release date draws near, examinees and their families continue to monitor official announcements from the PRC. Educational institutions, review centers, and criminology organizations are likewise preparing for the publication of the official results, which will recognize the country’s newest licensed criminologists and showcase the top-performing schools in this year’s examination.

The Professional Regulation Commission is expected to publish the official results through its authorized platforms immediately upon approval by the Board of Criminology. Candidates are advised to rely only on official PRC announcements to avoid misinformation and should wait for the formal release of the complete list of passers, the Top 10 examinees, and the performance of schools once the August 2026 Criminology Licensure Examination results are officially announced in September 2026.
