J-L CLE RESULTS August 2026: Criminology Licensure Examination

J-L CLE Results 2026 Expected This September as PRC Prepares Official August Criminology Board Exam Release

Thousands of aspiring criminologists across the Philippines are eagerly awaiting the release of the J-L CLE Results for the August 2026 Criminology Licensure Examination (CLE), one of the country’s most anticipated professional licensure examinations administered by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC). The official results, which will include the complete list of passers whose surnames begin with the letters J to L, are expected to be released in September 2026, approximately twenty-six (26) working days after the final day of the examination, in accordance with the PRC’s announced schedule.

The August 2026 Criminology Licensure Examination was conducted on August 1, 2, and 3, 2026, under the supervision of the PRC Board of Criminology. Thousands of examinees from various colleges and universities nationwide took the three-day examination in hopes of earning the title of Registered Criminologist and beginning their professional careers in law enforcement, public safety, corrections, forensic investigation, and other fields related to criminal justice.

Once officially released, the examination results will contain the complete alphabetical list of successful examinees, including those whose surnames begin with the letters J through L, together with the Top 10 highest-performing examinees, the performance of schools, and other important information released by the Professional Regulation Commission.

The PRC has consistently reminded examinees that the release date may vary depending on the completion of the evaluation process. While the target release is within twenty-six working days after the examination, the Commission may adjust the publication date should unforeseen circumstances arise. Candidates are therefore encouraged to monitor only the official announcements issued by the PRC regarding the exact release schedule.

The August 2026 CLE was simultaneously administered in numerous testing centers across the country to accommodate the large number of aspiring criminologists. Examination venues included the National Capital Region (NCR), Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Calapan, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Palawan, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, Zamboanga, Bacolod, Bayambang, Bohol, Catarman, Cauayan, Dumaguete, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, and Kidapawan. The nationwide conduct of the examination reflects the continued growth of criminology education in the Philippines and the increasing number of graduates seeking professional licensure.

The examination was administered by the PRC Board of Criminology, headed by Chairman Hon. Ramil G. Gabao, together with board members Hon. Lani T. Palmones and Hon. Warren M. Corpuz. The Board remains responsible for ensuring that the licensure examination adheres to the highest standards of fairness, integrity, and professional competence required under Philippine laws governing the criminology profession.

Aside from the list of successful examinees, the PRC is also expected to release important examination statistics upon the publication of the official results. These include the total number of examinees, the overall passing rate, the list of top-performing schools, and the individual performances of educational institutions that participated in the August 2026 licensure examination.

The Commission likewise disclosed that the examination results concerning several examinees remain under review. Specifically, the results of three (3) examinees have been withheld pending the final determination of their liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examinations. Meanwhile, the results of two (2) examinees have been withheld pending the submission of the required documents, while the records of five (5) examinees remain withheld for further verification of the documents they submitted. Such measures form part of the PRC’s standard procedures to preserve the integrity and credibility of every licensure examination administered by the Commission.

For examinees whose surnames fall under the J-L alphabetical grouping, the forthcoming release represents a significant milestone after years of academic preparation, practical training, and months of intensive review. Passing the Criminology Licensure Examination opens the door to various career opportunities in the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Bureau of Corrections (BuCor), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), private security organizations, forensic laboratories, correctional institutions, and numerous government agencies involved in criminal justice and public safety.

As September 2026 approaches, anticipation continues to grow among examinees, their families, educational institutions, and the criminology community nationwide. Many schools are also expected to closely monitor the results as they reflect institutional performance and serve as indicators of academic excellence in criminology education.

The PRC is expected to publish the complete J-L CLE Results for the August 2026 Criminology Licensure Examination, together with the full list of passers, Top 10 examinees, school performance rankings, and other official examination data, once all evaluation and verification procedures have been completed. Until then, examinees are encouraged to remain patient and await only the official announcement from the Professional Regulation Commission.
