bibliophile

bibliophile /ˈbiblēəˌfīl/ – A bibliophile is someone who has a deep appreciation for books and often enjoys collecting them. The word originates from the Greek terms biblion, meaning “book,” and philos, meaning “loving.” Although bibliophiles are typically enthusiastic readers, their passion extends beyond reading. Derived from the Latin word meaning “pit” or “hole,” it is also a term in anatomy for tiny cavities found in bone or cartilage where cells are located.
