The distribution of assistance was held at the university’s Student Center, where beneficiaries received their payments following the completion of their community service engagement. The program began on July 15 and gave participating students and alumni an opportunity to earn financial assistance while contributing their time and skills to their communities.
During the 25-day program, the beneficiaries were assigned to different offices within Biliran Province State University and to local government units (LGUs) in their respective municipalities. Their assignments allowed them to assist with various activities and office operations while gaining practical experience in a working environment.

The initiative was implemented under the KALAHI-CIDSS Kapangyarihan at Kaunlaran sa Barangay (KKB) program of the DSWD. The initiative is intended to provide short-term employment and financial assistance to qualified individuals, including students and alumni who meet the program’s requirements.
