LONDON, United Kingdom — Prince William and Kate Middleton have ended their summer stay at Balmoral with their children as the Prince and Princess of Wales prepare for an important new chapter in their family life, with their eldest son, Prince George, expected to begin his secondary education at Eton College.

The family spent part of their summer holiday in the Scottish Highlands with other members of the Royal Family. After enjoying time away from their official duties, William and Kate have now left Balmoral with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

The family reportedly traveled from Scotland on a commercial flight, marking the end of their summer retreat.

For George, the return from Balmoral comes at an especially important time. The 13-year-old royal is preparing to leave his current school and begin his education at Eton College, one of the United Kingdom’s most well-known schools. The move will be a major change for the future king, who has spent his earlier school years at Lambrook School in Berkshire.

His younger siblings, Charlotte and Louis, are expected to return to Lambrook School when the new school year begins next month.

The children’s school arrangements have also drawn attention because their cousins, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, are expected to begin attending schools in the United Kingdom in September. Archie and Lilibet are the children of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who have been living primarily in the United States since stepping back from their roles as senior working members of the Royal Family.

Harry and Meghan have also returned to the United Kingdom this week, bringing their children with them. Their arrival has once again placed attention on the long-running distance between the Sussexes and the Waleses.

The two families have had a strained relationship for several years, and there has been little public indication that William, Kate, Harry and Meghan have repaired their differences.

Kate once expressed her excitement about meeting Lilibet after the young princess was born. At the time, she reportedly said she could not wait to meet her new niece. However, the relationship between the two sides of the family has changed considerably since then.

Because of the continuing tensions, there is currently no clear indication that William and Kate will meet Harry and Meghan during their latest visit to the United Kingdom.

The issue has become even more complicated because the Sussexes are expected to spend more time in Britain for charitable and other activities. Their plans could potentially bring them into the same places as other members of the Royal Family.

Royal commentator Emily Nash previously suggested that William and Kate were unlikely to be pleased by Harry and Meghan’s return to the UK. Speaking to HELLO!, Nash pointed to what she described as the lack of public reaction from the Waleses and suggested that the situation could be difficult for the family.

She also described the relationship between the two couples as extremely damaged after years of disagreements and public statements.

The tensions between the brothers became particularly visible following Harry and Meghan’s decision to step away from royal duties and move to the United States. Since then, the Sussexes have spoken publicly about their experiences within the Royal Family, including details about their relationship with senior royals.

Harry’s interviews, his documentary projects with Meghan and the publication of his memoir have all added to the difficulties between the two sides.

Despite the family tension, William and Kate have continued to concentrate on their royal responsibilities and their children.ADS

The couple arrived at Balmoral for their summer break around the same time Harry and Meghan announced their latest plans to visit Britain. William and Kate were later seen attending Sunday church services at Crathie Kirk, located close to Balmoral Castle.

Kate attracted attention during the outing after appearing with new honey-blonde highlights. She smiled as William drove the family to church, giving royal watchers a glimpse of the family during their private holiday.

The end of the Balmoral break now means the Wales family is preparing to return to a busy schedule. Alongside their official royal engagements, William and Kate will have to help their children adjust to changes in their education.

George’s move to Eton is expected to receive particular attention because of his position as second in line to the British throne. As the future king, many aspects of his upbringing and education are closely watched by the public.

At the same time, Harry and Meghan are expected to carry out their own activities while they are in Britain. Their schedule could include charitable appearances and other engagements, although details surrounding their exact plans remain limited.

Questions have also surrounded where Archie and Lilibet will stay and which schools they will attend while in the UK. Concrete details about their arrangements have not been widely confirmed.

With both families potentially spending more time in Britain, royal watchers may see them attending events in the same country even if they continue to keep their distance from one another.

For now, William and Kate appear focused on their children and their return to royal duties. George’s upcoming move to Eton represents a significant milestone for the family, while Charlotte and Louis prepare to continue their education at Lambrook.

The situation also highlights the complicated relationship within the Royal Family. Although William and Harry remain brothers, years of disagreements and public revelations have created a deep divide between them.

Whether the two families will eventually find a way to improve their relationship remains uncertain. For the moment, both sides appear to be following separate paths while continuing with their respective family, school and public commitments. / aptikons
