CUPERTINO, California — Apple has officially launched the iPhone 18 Pro Max, bringing major upgrades to photography, processing power, battery performance, thermal management and artificial intelligence as the company pushes its flagship smartphone lineup further into professional and AI-powered computing.
Apple announced the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max on September 9, 2026, during its “Surprise and Shine” special event. Pre-orders opened on Saturday, September 12, before the devices officially became available on Friday, September 18 in more than 65 countries and regions. Apple said another 20 countries and regions would receive the new Pro models beginning September 25.
The iPhone 18 Pro Max is now also listed through Apple’s Philippine online store, with the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max lineup starting at ₱94,990 in the Philippines.
A20 Pro Brings Apple’s Latest Silicon
At the heart of the iPhone 18 Pro Max is Apple’s new A20 Pro chip, built using a 2-nanometer process. The chip features a six-core CPU, a seven-core GPU and a Dual 16-core Neural Engine with integrated Neural Accelerators.
Apple says the A20 Pro provides 50 percent more memory bandwidth than the A19 Pro, while its new GPU can deliver up to 40 percent faster graphics performance. The Neural Engine is also designed to significantly accelerate on-device artificial intelligence and computational photography.
