Among the designated testing centers, Pampanga served as one of the major examination venues in Central Luzon, accommodating hundreds of examinees from nearby provinces. Meanwhile, Manila also hosted a large number of examinees, with the PRC releasing the official room assignments several weeks before the examination to guide candidates to their assigned testing locations.

After the completion of the examinations, the Professional Regulation Commission and the Board of Criminology began the evaluation, checking, and verification of examination papers. Once the process is completed, the PRC will publish the official results through its website and official social media channels.

The Criminology Licensure Examination plays an important role in ensuring that future criminology professionals possess the knowledge and competence required to serve in various fields of public safety and criminal justice. Successful examinees become eligible to work in agencies such as the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Bureau of Corrections (BuCor), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), private security firms, forensic laboratories, correctional institutions, and other government and private organizations.

The board examination covers major criminology subjects, including criminal law and jurisprudence, law enforcement administration, criminalistics, forensic science, crime detection and investigation, corrections administration, criminological research, ethics, and related professional topics.

Thousands of examinees who took the examination in Pampanga, Manila, and other testing centers nationwide are expected to monitor the PRC website closely on the target release date. While the commission has announced September 4, 2026 as the expected release date, the publication of results may be adjusted depending on the speed of checking and verification of examination papers.

Once released, successful examinees will be required to complete the online registration process through the PRC’s Licensure Examination and Registration Information System (LERIS) before claiming their Professional Identification Card (PIC) and Certificate of Registration. The commission will also announce the schedule and venue of the oath-taking ceremony for the new batch of Registered Criminologists.

As anticipation continues to build, thousands of aspiring criminologists and their families remain hopeful for favorable results. The upcoming release will officially determine who will join the growing community of licensed criminology professionals committed to strengthening law enforcement, public safety, and the criminal justice system in the Philippines.
